Workflow of beverage pre-processing and blending tank
Date: 2025-09-10Read: 4
Beverage pre-processing blending tanks, also known as blending tanks, blending tanks, or dissolution tanks, are the "heart" and "brain" of beverage production lines. It is responsible for mixing all raw materials such as water, sugar, acid, spices, pigments, nutritional enhancers, juice concentrates, etc. together according to precise formula ratios to form the base liquid (syrup) of the final beverage. Its performance directly determines the taste, flavor, quality stability, and safety of the final product.
Pre processing mixing cans for beveragesWorkflow (Taking the preparation of syrup for a carbonated beverage as an example)
Preparation before feeding: Start the CIP system to automatically clean and disinfect the empty tank.
Injecting solvent: Usually, a certain amount of treated water (RO water or DE water) is pumped into the tank first. For materials that need to be heated and dissolved, heating can begin.
Feeding and dissolution:
In a stirring state, solid materials such as white sugar, stabilizer, and acidifier are sequentially added.
Mixing and heating work together to accelerate the dissolution process and form a uniform syrup.
Add trace ingredients: After the basic syrup is cooled to a certain temperature (to prevent aroma volatilization or failure), add essence, pigment, fruit juice and other heat sensitive materials.
Constant volume and homogenization: Continue adding water until the final amount is reached, and stir continuously until completely uniform. For certain products, the blended liquid will be pumped to a high-pressure homogenizer for further refinement.
Temporary storage and output: The mixed syrup base liquid is temporarily stored in a tank or pumped to the subsequent process (such as mixing with carbonated water).
