At present, there are two forms of vacuum drainage tanks (also known as steam water separators) widely used in conjunction with rubber belt vacuum filters. One is the direct discharge type, which is adopted when the vacuum filter is arranged in a position that allows the difference between the liquid level inside the vacuum drainage tank and the liquid level outside the vacuum drainage tank to exceed 8 meters. This structural form has certain limitations on the placement of vacuum filters. Another type is the automatic balanced drainage type, which is an unrestricted arrangement for vacuum filters. It usually uses a water pump that works continuously to overcome the forced drainage caused by the vacuum suction in the vacuum drainage tank. This structural form not only consumes a lot of energy, but also has a high failure rate and expensive maintenance costs.
