Stainless steel traditional Chinese medicine alcohol precipitation tankIntroduction:
The alcohol precipitation tank is mainly used for freezing or room temperature alcohol precipitation of concentrated Chinese medicine decoctions, as well as for water precipitation of concentrated Chinese medicine extracts and mixing of feed solutions.
Common product specifications include 300L, 500L, 1000L, 1500L, 2000L, 3000L, 6000L, and models are JC-300, JC-500, JC-1000, JC-1500, JC-2000, JC-3000, JC-6000, as well as other non-standard products designed and manufactured according to user requirements.
The alcohol precipitation tank is composed of a cylindrical body with a jacket, an elliptical head, and a conical bottom. The jacket of the cylinder can be filled with frozen salt water or cooling water to indirectly cool the material liquid and control the temperature required for alcohol precipitation. Equipped with a mixing system that meets GMP requirements and a special fine tuned rotating liquid outlet pipe. The alcohol precipitation tank is also suitable for freezing or room temperature precipitation, liquid-solid phase separation and other process operations of suspensions in other industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, dyes, and food.
2、 Working principle and operation of alcohol precipitation tank:
Stainless steel traditional Chinese medicine alcohol precipitation tankIt belongs to the sedimentation type liquid-solid phase separation equipment. The concentrated solution of traditional Chinese medicine decoction (usually with a specific gravity of about 1.1) is prepared by adding alcohol to remove non alcohol soluble starch, protein, etc. It is then subjected to liquid-solid separation by freezing and settling at room temperature or low temperature to improve the purity and clarity of the traditional Chinese medicine extract, thereby enhancing product quality.
Concentrate and alcohol are added in their respective proportions according to the process requirements, and frozen salt water or cooling water is turned on. Then, stirring is turned on to mix the material evenly. After reaching the required temperature of the material, stirring is stopped, and frozen salt water or cooling water is continued to be introduced into the jacket to ensure the required liquid temperature. After the sedimentation is completed, open the supernatant discharge valve and use a pump or vacuum to extract the supernatant. As the supernatant level gradually decreases, use the rotating handwheel to adjust the angle of the outlet pipe in the tank. Observe and control through the top mirror. After the supernatant is extracted, immediately close the outlet valve. If the sediment needs to be discharged dry, type A can be used, which requires controlling two cylinders with pneumatic switches, opening the bottom cover, unloading and cleaning the sediment, and then closing the bottom cover. If liquid discharge is carried out, B-type slag outlet can be selected. First, add water (or other liquid medium) and start stirring to make the sediment into a suspension. Then, open the bottom ball valve to drain the suspension and clean the inner wall of the tank with water before closing the ball valve.
The precipitation time of liquid-solid separation (alcohol precipitation) is directly related to the liquid temperature inside the tank. Generally, the alcohol precipitation of traditional Chinese medicine is as follows:
Alcohol precipitation temperature at room temperature 10-15 ℃ 5-10 ℃ 0-5 ℃
Alcohol precipitation time 48 hours 24 hours 12 hours 8-10 hours
