Metrix 5485C is a moving coil speed sensor designed for up to 375&# 176; Continuous use in high-temperature environments. A zero friction coil suspension provides high-precision, repeatable vibration measurements over a wide range of amplitudes and frequencies, and establishes a typical turbine that can withstand high vibration environments and cross axis vibrations. The suspension of the coil's barrel is composed of two non twisted, circular spider springs that provide a clean frequency response. Pure viscous electromagnetic damping is used to eliminate air damping that tends to cause friction and improve the detection of small vibration amplitudes at low frequencies
