The measuring part of the instrument consists of a force plate, an angle plate, a diamond pendulum, a paper clamp, a paper pushing frame, and other components. The motor drives the angle plate to rotate, and the paper pushing frame on the angle plate rotates together with it. The paper pushing small round stick on the paper pushing frame contacts the sample and pushes it to bend. The sample is clamped in the gripper jaws, and the gripper is installed on a diamond shaped swinging body. Under the rigidity of the sample itself, the sample is subjected to force while the diamond shaped swinging body is also subjected to torque. Under the torque, the swinging body is pushed and rotated. When the relative angle between the swinging body and the angle plate reaches 15 ° (or 7.5 °), it stops, and the system reaches torque balance. The angle dial zero line will indicate the torque value of the tested sample, expressed in mN • m.
