The 21000 RPM high-temperature resistant emulsified silicone oil emulsifier has a very high shear speed and shear force, with a particle size of about 0.2-2 microns to ensure the stability of high-speed dispersion and emulsification. The device can be applied to various dispersion emulsification processes and can also be used for producing homogeneous mixtures of emulsions, suspensions, and colloids. The shear force generated by the stator and rotor systems of the three-stage emulsifier increases the solute transfer rate, thereby accelerating the decomposition of single molecules and macroscopic molecular media.

21000 RPM high-temperature resistant emulsified silicone oil emulsifier

Silicone oil has excellent chemical stability, heat and cold resistance, weather resistance, lubricity, hydrophobicity, and low surface tension. It is non-toxic and harmless to the human body, and is widely used in personal care, leather care, and fermentation industry. Since its application in the 1970s, more than 30% of cosmetics in Europe and America have added silicone oil of different specifications. However, due to its hydrophobicity, silicone oil is difficult to disperse in the water phase, which limits its application in some aspects. The appearance of silicone oil lotion solves this problem.


Common emulsification methods of silicone oil: 1. Aqueous phase emulsification method Aqueous phase emulsification method refers to dissolving emulsifier in water, stirring at high speed, and slowly adding amino silicone oil to make O/W micro lotion. This method is relatively simple to operate and is commonly used in industry, usually carried out at room temperature. The lotion obtained by this method has poor stability and cannot be stored for a long time. It needs to be prepared and used on the spot. Reverse emulsification method refers to the process of mixing emulsifiers and amino silicone oil first, and then adding water to achieve the transformation from W/O to O/W, known as phase transition emulsification method. This method has complex steps and the process is difficult to control. Sijun Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. IKN has developed a high shear emulsification equipment, which has a breakthrough in emulsifying silicone oil. For emulsified silicone oil, a stable product can be achieved in one step through high shear emulsification. The SGN high shear emulsifier uses high-energy input and high-precision stator and rotor to preliminarily mix silicone oil, suitable emulsifiers, and water, and directly emulsify them into finished products in one go.

The advantage of high shear emulsifier lies in its ultra-high rotational speed and linear velocity. Compared to the ordinary 3000rpm high-speed mixer in China, the SGN high shear emulsifier can reach a speed of 14000rpm, and the emulsification effect it can achieve is 4-5 times that of domestic equipment. The obtained silicone oil emulsion has a small particle size, and under appropriate process conditions, the particle size can reach the nanometer level.


The factors that affect the dispersion and emulsification results are as follows

1. Forms of emulsion heads (batch and continuous) (continuous is better than batch)

2. Shear rate of emulsion head (the higher, the better the effect)

The tooth structure of the emulsifying head (divided into initial teeth, middle teeth, fine teeth, ultra-fine teeth, with fine teeth having better effect)

4. The residence time of materials in the dispersed wall and the emulsification dispersion time (can be regarded as the same motor, the smaller the flow rate, the better the effect)

5 cycles (the more, the better the effect, and by the end of the device's lifespan, it cannot be any better)


Calculation of linear velocity

The definition of shear rate is the relative velocity of the liquid layer between two surfaces.

- Shear rate (s-1)=v rate (m/s)
G distance between stator and rotor (m)

As can be seen from the above, the shear rate depends on the following factors:

- Linear velocity of the rotor

In this case, the distance between the two surfaces is the rotor stator spacing.
The spacing range between IKN stator and rotor is 0.2~0.4 mm

So the rotational speed and dispersion head structure are important factors affecting dispersion, and the high rotational speed and shear rate of the ultra high speed dispersion homogenizer are crucial for obtaining ultrafine suspensions.
