Working principle of automatic online winding machine
Automatic online winding machine is a device used for automated packaging assembly lines, mainly for wrapping pallet goods with film to improve transportation and storage stability. The core working principle is as follows:
1. Basic composition of equipment
Automatic online winding machines typically consist of the following key components:
Conveyor system (chain/drum conveyor): Automatically transport trays into the winding area.
Rotary table/rotating mechanism (optional): rotates the tray while the film frame moves up and down (suitable for rotary winding machines).
Membrane frame system: including pre stretching mechanism, film roll, and tension control device.
Control system (PLC+touch screen): Set parameters such as winding layers, speed, tension, etc.
Photoelectric sensor: detects the position of the tray to ensure automatic start stop.
Safety protection device (grating/emergency stop button): prevents accidental operation.
2. Workflow
(1) Automatic feeding
Goods (such as pallets) are automatically fed into the winding area by the conveyor line.
After the photoelectric sensor detects that the tray is in place, it triggers the winding program.
(2) Pre stretching of thin film
The film is pulled out from the roll and passes through a pre stretching roller (usually with a stretching rate of 150%~300%) to improve the film strength and save consumables.
The tension control system ensures uniform stretching of the film, avoiding breakage or looseness.
(3) Wrap the package tightly
A. Rotary winding machine (turntable type)
Tray rotation: The turntable drives the tray to rotate, while the film frame moves up and down vertically, forming a spiral wrapping.
Film coverage: Wrap layer by layer from bottom to top, covering the entire tray.
B. Surrounding winding machine (arm type)
Membrane frame rotation: The membrane arm rotates around a stationary tray while moving up and down to complete the wrapping.
Suitable for heavy/oversized pallets (such as non rotatable goods).
(4) Cutting and bonding
After the winding is completed, the film cutting device automatically cuts the film and fixes the end of the film by heat sealing or electrostatic adsorption.
(5) Automatic discharge
The wrapped tray is sent out by the conveyor line and enters the next stage (such as labeling and loading).
