Chain plate conveyor is an important industrial conveying equipment, and its normal operation is crucial for the stability of the production line. Maintenance work should follow the principles of "regular inspection, timely adjustment, standardized operation, and thorough cleaning". Today, we will share the daily maintenance methods for chain plate conveyors.
Daily maintenance (before and after each shift)
This is the foundation of preventive maintenance, aimed at timely detection and resolution of minor issues.
Pre startup inspection:
Cleaning: Check whether there are any residual materials, oil stains or foreign objects on the surface of the conveyor and between the chain plates, and clean them in a timely manner. Especially to prevent hard foreign objects from getting stuck between the chain and the track.
Visual inspection: Quickly inspect the chain plate for obvious cracks, severe scratches, or deformation.
Fasteners: Check for loose bolts and nuts in critical areas.
Abnormal sound: Start by tapping and listen for any abnormal friction, scraping, or impact sounds.
Observation during operation:
Running status: Observe whether the chain runs smoothly, whether there is any jumping, deviation, or snaking phenomenon.
Tension: Intuitively feel whether the chain is too loose (sagging too much) or too tight (motor load too high).
Lubrication condition: Pay attention to whether there is a harsh sound of dry friction at the meshing point between the chain, track, and sprocket.
Work after shutdown:
Thoroughly clean: After turning off the power, thoroughly clean the conveyor to remove all material residue and dirt. Keep the equipment dry to prevent rusting (for carbon steel materials).
Simple recording: Record any abnormal situations discovered during the shift, such as the location of the abnormal noise, deviation direction, etc., for easy troubleshooting by maintenance personnel.
