Precautions for installation of double-sided labeling machine
The installation quality of a double-sided labeling machine directly determines the labeling accuracy, equipment stability, and service life. The installation work needs to be rigorous and meticulous, mainly divided into the following core steps:
1、 Preparation of installation site and environment
This is a prerequisite for the stable operation of the equipment.
Ground foundation and space:
Horizontal and sturdy: The equipment must be installed on a sturdy and flat horizontal ground (such as epoxy flooring or hardened cement flooring). Use a high-precision level to adjust the equipment feet and ensure that the rack remains level in all directions. This is the primary key to preventing vibration during equipment operation and ensuring labeling accuracy.
Operating space: Sufficient space should be reserved in the front, back, left, and right of the device for:
Loading/unloading operations.
Replace the label roll and adjust the label station.
Daily maintenance and emergency response.
It is recommended that the width of the channel be no less than 1 meter.
Environmental conditions:
Clean and dustproof: The installation environment should be kept clean to avoid pollutants such as dust and fibers. Dust can contaminate labeling stations, labels, and products, leading to poor labeling.
Suitable temperature and humidity: Avoid installation in areas with high temperature, high humidity, or near corrosive gases. Extreme environments can affect label stickiness, electrical component lifespan, and equipment mechanical accuracy.
Power and gas source:
Power supply: Ensure that the power supply voltage and frequency are consistent with the equipment requirements. It is recommended to use a stable regulated power supply. The power socket must be reliably grounded.
Air source (if pneumatic equipment): Provide clean and dry compressed air with a pressure that meets the equipment requirements (usually 0.5~0.7MPa), and install an oil-water separator and pressure reducing valve at the inlet of the air path.
2、 Equipment positioning and fixation
Safe handling:
Use appropriate handling tools (such as forklifts, cranes), and the lifting point must be at the designated location of the equipment.
The transportation process should be smooth and slow, and collisions and tilting are strictly prohibited. Especially, precision components such as target stations, electric eyes, and measuring sensors should be protected.
Horizontal adjustment and fixation:
After the equipment is in place, immediately use a level to make fine adjustments on the reference plane of the equipment (usually the conveyor platform or main frame).
After confirming the level, tighten the locking nut of the equipment foot or install the anchor bolt to ensure that the equipment will not shift due to vibration during operation.
3、 Connection and linkage with front-end and back-end devices
The double-sided labeling machine is usually a part of the production line, and the connection is crucial.
Align height with centerline:
Adjust the height and width of the labeling machine conveyor belt to maintain consistent height and centerline with the conveyor lines of upstream (such as filling machines) and downstream (such as boxing machines) equipment.
Ensure smooth and unobstructed transition of the product to prevent bottle jamming and tipping.
Linkage signal communication:
Connect the linkage signal lines (such as start, stop, fault feedback, etc.) with upstream and downstream equipment.
Test the linkage function to ensure the coordinated operation of the entire line. For example, when there is a shortage of materials upstream or blockage of materials downstream, the labeling function will automatically pause.
4、 Public works connection and testing
Electrical connection:
Operated by a professional electrician to ensure proper wiring after power failure.
Check if the power, ground, and signal wires are connected correctly and securely.
Gas path connection (if applicable):
Use qualified trachea and fittings to connect the air source.
Open the gas source, check for leaks in the pipeline, and adjust the pressure reducing valve to the required working pressure of the equipment.
5、 Installation and preliminary adjustment of core components
Before powering on and ventilating, make preliminary settings for the mechanical parts.
Standard station installation:
Install the sticker heads (marking stations) on both sides onto the rack, without the need for complete locking, for easy fine-tuning in the future.
Pay attention to protecting the peeling board (label board) of the label station, which is a critical part of label peeling and must not be bumped.
Tag citation:
Follow the path diagram on the equipment manual and correctly insert the label.
Ensure that all rollers, guide plates, and tensioning mechanisms that the label passes through are in the correct position, ensuring that the label tape is properly tensioned and runs smoothly.
Product and label testing:
Measuring material electric eye: Adjust its position so that it can accurately detect every incoming product.
Standard station electric eye: Adjust the detection method and sensitivity of the electric eye based on the type of label used (spacing, black label, or hole label).
