XZG Rotary Flash Drying Machine User Manual

I. Overview

The series of rotary flash dryers produced by our factory are advanced technologies that have attracted similar products from home and abroad. Based on our own practice, we have developed and improved a new type of drying equipment that integrates drying technology and fluidization technology. This machine is widely used in industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and building materials. It is an ideal drying equipment for crushing (grading) filter cake packaging, paste like, slurry like, powder like, and some heat sensitive materials.

2、 Working principle

This machine continuously transports wet slurry, paste, filter cake and other materials to the drying chamber through a stirring screw conveyor. The heated air enters the drying chamber in a tangential direction and flows upward from the bottom of the tower at high speed to fully contact the materials, generating strong shear, blowing and rotating effects on the materials, keeping them in a stable equilibrium fluidized state. Under the combined action of mechanical motion and hot air flow, materials are crushed by centrifugation, shearing, collision, and friction. The moisture contained in the dispersed particles is rapidly evaporated, and the evaporated materials are subjected to a rotating airflow in the drying chamber to move upwards in a spiral motion. During the upward movement, they are further dried. Wet materials with larger or heavier particles are thrown towards the peripheral wall and fall back to the bottom under centrifugal action to participate in the above process again. Smaller powder materials enter the cyclone separator and bag filter for two-stage recovery together with the airflow, thus obtaining powder dried products and completing the entire drying process.

3、 Main features

1. The material is highly dispersed in the drying chamber due to centrifugation, collision, and friction, with fast mass and heat transfer rates, high drying intensity and thermal efficiency, and good energy-saving effects. Materials that are easy to disperse and dry have a short residence time (<10 seconds) in the drying room. Only materials that are difficult to disperse under the heavy impact of the indoor mixer need to extend their residence time (up to 10 minutes).

2. Hot air enters from the tangential direction to form a strong rotating airflow, and the material has a short contact time with hot air, which solves the problem of coking and discoloration of thermosensitive materials and can be used for drying thermosensitive materials.

3. The high-speed rotating airflow in the drying room has a strong impact on the materials on the wall, preventing them from sticking to the wall.

4. There is a grading device on the upper part of the dryer, which can control the particle size and humidity of the dried product to ensure its quality. In addition, the drying system simultaneously completes processes such as crushing, dispersing, drying, and grading, and the key control parameters are adjustable.

5. The entire drying device has a compact structure, small footprint, low labor intensity, and easy operation. During the drying process, due to the high circumferential gas velocity in the drying chamber and the short residence time of the material, high efficiency and speed are achieved, realizing small equipment and large production.

6. Negative pressure or micro pressure operation, good sealing, high efficiency, and elimination of environmental pollution.

7. Special feeding devices can be equipped to avoid tower bridges and blockages during feeding, allowing materials to be continuously and evenly added to the dryer.

8. It can be applied to drying multiple types of materials or different situations of the same material. Wet materials are allowed to have a moisture content of 5-85%, while dry products have a moisture content of 0.1-8% and a particle size of 40-200 mesh.
