Sludge is usually dehydrated on centrifuges or belt filter presses, and the dry solids content of the dehydrated sludge is usually about 20 to 25%, which is very suitable for heat treatment in hollow blade dryers. More and more sludge is being incinerated, requiring partial drying of 35% to 40% of the dry solids to automatically heat the sludge.

The core of the device consists of a slot containing two counter rotating shafts and arranged with blades. Hot oil or saturated steam at 180-250 ℃ continuously flows through the jacket, hollow shaft, and propeller blades. When sludge enters, wedge-shaped blades ensure good local mixing and mechanical fluidization. Accurately align the shafts to interweave the blades during rotation. This ensures ideal surface product contact and sludge flow, resulting in high evaporation rates inside the machine.
