Metal detector is a device used to detect metal foreign objects (such as iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, etc.) in materials such as food, drugs, chemical products, etc. It is widely used in production line quality control to ensure product safety and comply with industry standards (such as HACCP, FDA, ISO 22000).
1. Working principle
The metal detector is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction:
Transmitting magnetic field: The coil inside the detection head is fed with high-frequency current, generating an alternating electromagnetic field.
Metal interference: When products containing metal foreign objects pass through, the metal will disturb the magnetic field and produce electrical signal changes.
Signal analysis: Sensors capture changes in signals and use algorithms to determine the size and position of metals, triggering alarms or removal devices.
